Repeating the word Shalom (completeness, soundness, welfare) emphasizes a peace that is absolute and unwavering. How do we access it? By keeping our minds “stayed” on God. The Hebrew word for stayed is Samak, which means to lean upon, rest, or support oneself. We aren’t just thinking about God; we are leaning our entire weight onto His character.
